Baby C is now the size of a small doll. I am getting a huge kick (literally) out of him as he listens to the music that he can't get away from. My classes are getting ready for their big concert next week, and the little guy loves two songs in particular: "O Holy Night" and "Masters in This Hall." Every time we sing them he moves around like wild. The baby development websites say that a baby's favorite sounds right now are his mother's voice and soft music. Although he does like to move when I sing, I think he prefers music with a good beat! At the bottom of the blog is a link to "Baba Yetu." This is a piece the choirs will sing in February and Baby C loves the drums - we listen to it on our way to work in the morning.
We have another ultrasound on Tuesday thanks to our little guy deciding not to show his profile or heart on our last visit. We're excited to see him again with another month of development down. I also have a blood-glucose test that day and have to drink a sugar solution during my appointment. I'm not excited about that part, but it will be good to get it over with. So far I've not been measured in my appointments, so I'm curious if that will happen soon. I'm shocked at the growth I've been experiencing during the past two weeks, and I can officially say that my belly button has disappeared! I say it's a small price to pay for our little one.
Now that we know we're having a boy, the big question is names! Here's the plan...we just can't narrow it down to one name yet, so we're going to pick three or four favorites. Then we've decided to meet our little one to see what fits him best. So for all of you who are curious, you'll just have to wait until April.
